Are you in LOVE WITH FOOD?

I was recently given the opportunity to review the subscription box Love With Food! Some of you know that one of my Goofy Goobers has a diet we try our best to follow that is mainly All-Natural and Organic foods, so I was excited to get this box for review!

When you subscribe to Love With Food you will discover new Organic, All-Natural snacks delivered right to your front door as an added bonus for every box they send out they DONATE a meal to a hungry child! (yay for giving back right!)

Love with food has 2 box options: Tasting Box starting at $12/month and the new Deluxe Box starting at $19.95/month.
With the Tasting Box you get 8+ snacks each month, and the Deluxe Box you get 16-20 snacks, plus they donate 2 meals with the Deluxe box! They also have the option to purchase 6 and 12 month subscriptions to each box!

Another VERY nice aspect to this box is snacks are Organic, All-Natural, GMO-FREE, Gluten FREE, or free of all artificial JUNK.  (see why I was SO excited for our Goofy Goober to try this box too, it fits her dietary needs to the max!)

So here is what you see when it arrives! I love that this box stands out in the mail box! A red box means yummies!

Even the inside of the box was thought of when it came to design!

Everything that was inside Octobers Love With Food box

Included was:
Chocolate Pizzelle Crisps from Silk City Snacks
Glee Gum, Triple Berry flavor from Verve Inc
New World Caveman Cookies by Caveman Bakery (these were delish!)
Organic Hard Candies from Torie & Howard
Pixo Pearls from Vinaigerie Gingras
Happy Squeeze from Happy Family
Toasted Coconut Chips from Dang (these were really yummy too!)
Kind Bars from Kind Snacks (again delish!)

Also included were coupons and a description card of everything inside this months box!

We tried everything in this box, I mean everything!  There wasn't a snack we didn't enjoy! Our oldest Goofy Goober really enjoyed them all too! I finally felt happy with allowing her to try packaged snacks again with this box BECAUSE of what they were!

These stood out to us, I can't wait to use the Pixo Pearls and the Caveman Cookies were SO good!

I'm happy to say they have a promotion going on! Want to hear about it?! Of course you do!
If you use the PROMO CODE: FESTIVE2013 you get $5.00 off a Love With Food subscription! (Valid until 12.1.2013) ALSO, if you purchase a 6 or 12 month subscription they're adding a 2 YEAR subscription to Rachael Ray magazine! The magazine deal is also good if you are a current monthly subscriber and you switch to the 6 or 12 month plans!
(Special offer details can be seen here.)

On a scale of 1-10 (1 being do NOT buy and 10 being RUN and buy) I would give this box a 9

Pros: Everything is either Organic, All-Natural, GMO-free, Gluten free.... which again in our house is extremely important!  I love that I can feel comfortable letting my kids snack on these!
With the 2 year subscription to Rachael Ray Every Day magazine promo going until 12.1.13 its an added bonus!
Cons: Like with any food subscription box service you may not always LOVE what comes in the box.  Its a 50/50 toss if you will enjoy that snack or not, HOWEVER you will never know you don't like something unless you try!

Drum roll please..... Introducing the Quilty Box!

Hello again Three Little Goofy Goober readers! Its time for our next review!   This one is a fun one if you're a creative soul!

The Quilty Box is relatively new to the subscription box scene... and well, let me tell you a bit about the company before we go into our photos and review (no peaking!)

Get Surprised...Get Inspired...Get Quilty!

Quilty Box delivers a package of amazing products each month curated with the coolest fabric companies, designers, bloggers, artists, and organizations across the community.
Quilty Box is your monthly muse to keep you growing and creating.
How it works: You pick your subscription 1,3,6,12 months and boxes start at $38.95 + shipping! Oh an important and cool fact is that 5% of the proceeds from Multi-Month Subscriptions are donated to Quilts for Kids!
Okay, I know what you might be thinking $38.95+ shipping of $5.95 seems steep but please WAIT to judge until you see what they include!
Ready, set, here we go!
This is what you see when you get it in the mail! By the way I received the October box, and Octobers theme was geometry! (yeah each month is a different theme!!)

I was excited to open it up!!

Everything that was inside Octobers box!

Let me break this down for you!
Sidekick Ruler By Jaybird Quilts $17.95
Minimalista by Art Gallery Fabrics Fat Eight Bundle $11.50
Rock Candy Table Topper Pattern by Jaybird Quilts $6.95
Aurifil 50wt. Cotton Mako Thread $7.90 (two spools that coordinate with the fabric!)
Jeanna Kimball's Foxglove Cottage Sharps Needle Sampler $1.95
Custom Fabric Label by Jennifer's Jewels $1.25
Arrow Pin by Art School Dropout $7.50 (there was also an arrow one sent out)
Geometric Paper Piecing Pattern by Art School Dropout $2.75 (I didn't receive this item because it is a PDF file that was emailed to you on the day your box is shipped! It contained a simple and awesome pattern to get you going!)

Total Retail Value: $57.75!!!

A close up of the pretty fabrics!

I LOVE this pin! The colors on it are so eye catching its really cool!

Okay, so remember when I said do not judge this box price until you have seen the total value of the items in it?!  Now feel free to judge! (be nice though! never judge a book by its cover... or in this case a subscription box by its price!)
This box has an incredible Value/Quality ratio! Plus you get a new project each month to do when you have the time... or for you snow birds save them all up for the winter and have a fun winter of sewing while its snowing!!

I will admit I have not had the time to complete the project (I've been quilting up a storm to finish blankets for family) but this is next up on my sewing list!

*DISCLOSURE: While this box was sent to me to review, the opinions on it are all my own, in no way was I forced or encouraged to give it a good review!*

So on a scale of 1-10 (1 being do NOT buy and 10 being RUN and buy) I'm happy to give this box an 8.5-9 (I can't decide!)
Pros: They send you really interesting projects!  If you buy a Multi-Month Subscription they donate 5% to Quilts for Kids (yay for companies who give back!) This particular theme was very bright and fun!
Cons:  The price yeah I'll admit a few of you may be put off by the price!  I get that, however if you love sewing/quilting and are looking for a new project but don't have the time to go piece everything together on your own try out the Quilty Box as I said before, the retail value far exceeded what you pay!

Are you getting ready for the BIG Thanksgiving meal?

I love sharing new things with readers! I also really enjoy cooking, just not the dishes after! ha We had a Facebook fan share a recipe with us and we are sharing it with all of you!    Spreading the love!

Southern-Style Green Beans with Bacon and New Potatoes

Ingredients

4 slices bacon, cut into thirds
1 medium onion, finely chopped
2 pounds fresh green beans, ends trimmed
8 small new potatoes, halved if large
Salt and freshly ground black pepper

Directions

In a large saucepan or medium Dutch oven, cook bacon over medium heat until it has rendered most of its fat and has begun to brown, about 5 minutes. Add the onion and saute until translucent, about 5 minutes. Add the green beans and potatoes and enough water to just cover them. Bring to a boil, then reduce the heat to low. Season with salt and pepper, to taste, then cover the pan and simmer until the beans are very tender, about 1 hour, stirring occasionally and adding more water if necessary to keep the beans covered. As the beans get close to being done they will become quite fragile, so take care when stirring.

Appleseed Lane review

I spent this Veterans Day morning doing the latest review box we received!  It was Appleseed Lane and my goodness did my Goofy Goobers LOVE it!  So here is the inside scoop!
Appleseed Lane is a monthly subscription box company (you can pay 1 month $23, 6 months $21 a month or yearly at $19 a month) They also have this amazing option to add a sibling add on to the box for $9.95! (please note the sibling add on prince drops to $8.95 for the 6 month, and $7.95 for yearly subs)

"Spark a lifelong love of learning with fun and engaging boxes filled with science experiments and lesson-based crafts sent directly to your door each month! Geared toward kids ages 4 to 10...fun for everyone!"

I was searching for a box for our oldest Goofy Goober (she is 6 years old) a lot of the child geared boxes are too baby-ish for her so I ran with a suggestion for Appleseed Lane and am SO happy I did!  Each box comes with EVERYTHING you need, seriously everything, and its all labeled too!!
Here is what showed up at my door:
side note here but I think this box design is super cute!!

The inside of the box:
As you can see our theme this month was Crime Scene Science!

As I mentioned before, they send you EVERYTHING you need to do these experiments:
(told you!)

Okay so, inside this box were activities for your Goofy Goobers to find out who stole the cookie from the cookie jar! A cute story line follows you along as you discover new clues by decoding messages, finding messages written with invisible ink with UV lights, casting molds of 'footprints or in this case your hand' matching fingerprints (including discovering what type of fingerprint pattern you have!) and then appearing colors... Seriously it made for a FUN morning! I am SO happy with this box and its one I will find a way to fit into our monthly budget because not only did the mini Goobers enjoy it but us older Goobers rather enjoyed watching them learn and discover new things too!

So on a scale of 1-10 (1 being do NOT buy and 10 being RUN and buy) I happily give this subscription box an 8 1/2.  I felt my money was very well spent on this box!
Pros: You learn as you go! Everything is included in the box! The fact you can add a sibling to the box is a huge plus since we have multiple Goofy Goobers its nice to not have to pay for 2 boxes when you just need the supplies! (I give high fives for companies who think of this!)
Cons: It was over too soon! ha ha!

*please note these opinions are all my own, and I was not paid for them, I purchased this box for my own use and was not given it for review purposes!*

Have you tried out Graze?

Alright the wait is over time for more reviews! We took a bit of a break to deal with some health issues and now that things have settled down, well, be on the look out for tons of cool stuff!

Next up is the subscription box Graze.   It is an invite only subscription service that sends you 4 snacks every 2 weeks for the LOW price of $6.00 USD every 2 weeks.  Yup. I said 6 bucks!  In each box you will find single serving sized snacks that are sure to please!  If you like what they send you then log into your account with them and click the following options 'try, like, love, trash'  (please note you can do this BEFORE they even send you anything if you already know you do not want something.. your ratings on food determine what they send you and how often they'll send that food!)  This is our 2nd Graze box and we love it!  I will be keeping this subscription forever!

So I asked do you Graze? If not, you may want to try them out!  This company uses recycled products for packaging, donates to Charity and well... I can't find a lot of bad about them!

On a scale of 1-10 (1 being do NOT buy and 10 being RUN and buy) I happily give this box an 8.
I would rate it higher if you got more of the snack, however I am a "snacker" and love to eat more than I probably should ha ha, but hey for 6 bucks you get a variety of healthy snacks to try out!  I waste that or more at the checkout on impulse items so I see it as money well spent!

Have you ever tried this sub box? Or is there a subscription box you want to know more about lemme know!
